1st Of December - Blogmas

Hi guys. How are ye all doing this fine 1st of December? I can't believe that its December all ready. This year has gone so fast.

I have taken the plunge and this year I am going to write a blog post everyday until Christmas. I am really looking forward to that to be hones. This is going to be a challenge for me as you nay know that I am working all the time. I really don't know what I am going to writing about. I have read a few blogmases from last year but I don't remember what they were about. For todays I am going to just tell you about my day.

It was a good start to the day because it wasn't raining. I love the mornings that it doesn't rain, that way I come into work all nice and dry. Today wasn't really that busy in the coffee shop but then again there was two more people working with us so that gave us a great help. I was behind the salads bar. My role was to ask the customers what they wanted to eat and drink. Then I would call the order into the kitchen, and lastly I would bring down the food if there wasn't anyone to do it.

I had my full half an hour lunch today, some days I might just take the 20 minutes if its really busy, I don't really mind it. For my lunch today I had salmon with Thia sweet chillie sauce some Asia cabbage and pasty salad. I love our salads they are just amazing.  As there was so many of us in the evening the cleaning was done much faster and we were out by six in the everning.

Now I am just at home relaxing. I need to have a shower put Rhys to bed and maybe watch some Criminal Minds or Bones. I really need to catch up on those two.

Thats all for me for today. I hope you liked this post. If you have a blomas let me know about them in the comments so that I go and have a read.

What did you do today?

Spending the day with Rhys and my sister - Life As A Mum

Good morning everyone. It's a cold and stormy morning here in Ireland today. What is it like where you are?

As you know I have got emplyoment since Setpember and I have been so happy about that. It's full-time position, so that means I am away from Rhys for over 40 hours a week. The reason I say more is because I have to travel to my work. Its not that far just the other side of the city but because I don't drive I have to take the bus. It's a pain in the butt but it has to be done. I leave the house around half eight in the morning drop Rhys of to school and go get two buses into work. The second bus that I take dosn't take me near my work so I have walk for about 20 minutes or so. I don't mind the walk its the rain that I hate.

Since I started working Rhys is spending even more time with his dad, he loves his dad and I felt a little left out for a week or two because it was all about his dad. One time he was all about me. I guess change is always good. On my days off I take him out with me for the day. To spend some precious time with him. Rhys is going up so fast and the days are just running away with me.

As the weather was so bad for the past two weeks I have taken him to the shopping center, and I havent been there is ages. It was a nice change for the town. I love the shopping center but I hate those kids rides. They are two euro ago and they don't go for very long, and don't get me wrong I am not stingy with money but the rides are a minute or less. Its hard to say no to Rhys sometimes but these are the times that I have to put my foot down. I gave him four euro and he go on two rides. To my suprise he was quite happy with that.

My sister came to see us last Sunday and again the weather wasn't very nice to we went to the shopping center again. Rhys loves his aunt Katie. Katie gets a great laught with him. He really does know how to push her buttons. Sitting back and watching Rhys annoy Katie is very amusing to say the least. We had a lovely lunch and a good catch up. I love my sister she is the best and has a great heart,

I think thats all for today guys. I hope ye like these posts because I love writing them for you all and sharing my life with ye.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my post and comment on them. Don't forget I follow my blog so that you don't miss a new post.

First Impressions! Maybelline Satin Liquid Foundation

Hi guys,

So about a week ago I went to the shopping centre with Rhys and I needed to pick up a few gifts. That didn't happen as I really didn't plan on what I would get for anybody. While I was in Shaws looking around I remembred that I needed a foundation. I went on hunt for a good foundation. I wanted a change Rimmel as I have been using the same foundation for years without change. The foundation that I picked up was the Maybelline Satin Liquid Foundation in the shade 10 Ivory.

I have never tried any of the Maybelline line before and I was excited to try this product for the fist time. It went on very smoothly and evenly. The shade is just right for my skin tone. I was really impressed with the coverage that it provided. I have a few red area problems and it coved it all. I didn't use any concealer on top as I wanted to know how much I can get away with.

I wore it for over ten hours, and I have to say I was really impressed with it. The most of my face looked pretty good. The parts around my nose and mouth the foundation wore off, but that happens all the time so I am quite use to that. I didn't mind it at all. I would defenatly recomment this foundation to a friend as I think its a must try at least.

If you would like to see this First Impressions in a video please check it out here I had so much fun making this video and I will be making more of these. Please don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube Channel and to this blog.

Thank you all for stopping by and let me know what you think of the video down in the comments.

YouTube

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a good week. Today I am going to share with you that I have made a new vidoe on YouTube I haven't made a video in over two years. I have always thought about starting up again, but I didn't have the resources to do so.

I was talking to my friend and he has told me that he know people doing YouTube and they use thier phones to record and edit. That gave me an idea to get back to my YouTube. I got a new phone and the camera is very good. I played around with it for a few days and I was very happy how it looked. My next step was to find a good editing app that would be perfect for editing my videos, and it would look professioal. I have found an app its called KineMaster. I still have to get to know what it can really do. I have recorded a short video and it turned out pretty good. I was happy with it, but it was a very simple video.

These are the plans that I am currentlymaking for my channel.

  • I am going to make vlogs i.e vlogmas
  • Nail art
  • Reviews
  • First Impressions
More of the things that I didn't do two years ago. While I am recording and editing on my phone I am going to be saving up for a computer or a laptop so that I would be able to do much more.

As you may know I have found employment and I am working five days a week. The plan is to record on my days off edit in the everning and upload during the week. I really can't say what days I am going to upload as I still have to figure everything out.

If you have any questions please don't be shy and ask me.

Here is my new video check it out, and let me know what you think.

Thank you all for reading my blog and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and to this blog.

What's coming up

Hi everyone.

Its been so long since I posted but life again has took over. Last week I got a new phone which is up to date and I will be able to blog of it and maybe even make videos for YouTube. I have so much planned for the future and I am hoping that it will all work out for me.

Nearly two months ago I got employment and I am so happy about that. I am working in a coffee shop. This coffer shop is very popular because the coffee is cheap but very good quality. Everyone loves out coffee. We also serve hot and cold food. I never knew that a coffee shop could be so busy for lunch time. Everyone that I am working with is so nice and I am so happy to be working there. I totally believe that  'what is for you, won't pass you by' and I believe that this was for me. I am learning how to make coffees, no two days are the same.

One of the guys that I am working with had told me that dome people make YouTube videos and edit them on their phone. That gave me an idea. I have currently downloaded a few editing apps but I am not sure if I like them. I will have to play around with them and see how I get on. If you know of good editing app do let me know. I would love to restart my YouTube again. I miss it so much. I have to buy new products to get me going. I will keep you all up update on that on my twitter. Crazy_Chrissie . I think I will leave it here for the time being. Thank

Hello there!

Hey guys. Happy Tuesday everyone. I know I haven't blogged in ages but I had loads to do. At the moment I am looking for a job and its proven to be harder then I thought.

A few months ago I started knitting. I had bought some cheap yarn and needles to practice. In all of that time these is what I have knitted in the last two weeks.

I have been looking around in so many places for free knitting patterns and its not easy to find. I was thinking that when I knit something that I am really proud of I could post a knitting pattern here for you guys to try. I know most of you probably don't knit, I am just trying to get more people to my blog.

What do you think, let me know.

Daily Life: May Bank Holiday

Good morning everyone. It has been so long since I updated you all with my life.  Since then a few things has happened. First thing first, we are still looking for a house to rent and still no luck with that. At this stage I don't know will we ever get a house, even an apartment will do us. The cost of rent is so high.

A few days ago I found a place where they give Russian lessons. For those of you (most of you) who don't know, I am originally from Belarus and now living in Ireland for the past 13 years. I don't have anyone to talk to here so I have forgotten all of my native language. I know what you are all thinking, you are a fool. Yes I already know that. It was hard when I fist came here to Ireland, I had to try to settle here and make new friends so my language wasn't a priority. Now that I have Rhys it would be nice for him to learn Russian too. He is picking up Irish very fast in playschool. I have to contact the school proving the lessons and see will they have room for me.

I am currently on a job hunt. I have been doing my CV's and now all I have to do is find a job. By the way its not as easy as I thought. My last two jobs were handed to me, I didn't have to apply with a CV. Light a candle for me please.

My friend had a baby a few days ago. I still haven't seen her but as far as I know she is still in the hospital. She has a lot of family so I am going to leave her along until she is back at home. The baby was 9lb and 2oz. That is a big baby like. I am so happy for her though.

The weather has been very bad here for the past week and I haven't enjoyed my May bank holiday like I always do. The River fest is on during the weekend and there is so many things on during the whole weekend. Market stalls to a huge BBQ. It has been raining since like Tuesday and there was no point going out to the rain, Rhys wouldn't have enjoyed it either. Hopefully next year will be better weather.

I think that is all of my news guys. What have you all been up to for the past week?

Five Ways to Entertain a Toddler at the Weekend.

Good morning everyone. I was planning to write the second half of Where it all began but then I thought I might save that for an other time. Today I am going to share five ways to keep your toddler entertained during the weekend. I know some of this is common sense but I think they all work. Rhys is at creche every day from nice to half twelve. Once he comes home the day flies by, by the time I cook his dinner, feed him. Then its some play time and by the time he is finished its tea-time already. At the weekend it a different story, Rhys wakes up at seven in the morning. Trying to keep him entertained for twelve hours can sometimes be hard, especially when you are at home for the day. These are the thngs that I do with Rhys when I have to stay at home during the weekend.

  • Hide and Seek.
As a child I loved playing hide and seek with my friends. I don't know where Rhys picked it up, but I am guesing it was from a cartoon, he enjoyes watching every now and again. As Rhys is our only child we have to play with him. It's still a lot of fun. First Rhys hides, he loves going under covers, blankets and when I am looking for him, I pretend that I can't find him. All I hear is little giggles, its so cute. Once I hide and Rhys finds me, he then hides in the same place as I just did. It's so much fun.
  • Colouring, art and puzzles
Since Rhys started play school he loves colouring and doing art, before that he wasn't really pushed. I bought a few colouring books and a huge amount of colouring pens. As a reward at the end of the week he likes to get a magazine. In those magazines there is plenty of art ideas. Even I enjoying making all the fun art with Rhys. The reason I do art and colouring with him is it gives me a half hour quite time. He isn't running around. Its nice to have some peace in the house. In the last few months he got big into making jigsaw puzzles. I have picked up a few fireman ones, and Monsters Inc. not forgetting the Toy Story one, that he loves to make. He is getting very good at them too.

    putting together a Fireman jigsaw

    having lots of fun glueing

Going to make them all colourful and fun.
  • Football.
Like most boys Rhys loves football and hurling. Even though I have hid the hurley for a while because he was going around the house swinning the hurley and I was afraid that he would hit someone with it. We have a bit of green in our front gargen and he loves playing football with his dad. Its a boys thing.

  • Sand/Water
We all went to Dublin Zoo for Rhys' birthday last year and he loved it. If you would like to see what we did that day in pictures Dublin Zoo in pics . Rhys loved to play in the sand, he spend more time there then looking at the animals. A few weeks later we bought him a bag of play sand from Smyths toystore. It is a 15kg bag of sand for a less then a fiver. I thought that was good. I didn't have a sandpit for him so instead of buying one, I used a blow up swimming pool that wasn't being used. Now Rhys can have the sand indoors during the winter and outdoors during the summer. He is happy I am happy.

  • Read a Book.
At the end of the day just before bed I read him a bedtime story. Over the past few months I have been picking up books for Rhys. Everynight a half hour before bedtime I read him a story if its a big book, or a book if its a small one. He loves that and that is his routine. If for some reason a story isn't read to him he won't go to sleep as quickly as when a story was read to him. Its amazing what a little reading can do for a child.

Thank you everyone for reading my post it means a lot to me. I hope you enjoyed this post and please share with me what you like to do with your children. I would love to hear from you. Sorry I don't have that many pictures. Rhys was at my phone and he deleted lots of pictures. Thats just the joys of having a child around.

Urban Decay Naked 3: Spring Look

Hey guys,
About a week ago or so I was going to town with Rhys and I thought it was the perfect time to start wearing some light makeup for spring. We have been having some fantastic weather and I don't like having heavy makeup on when the sun is splitting the stones.
This is what I used to.

FACE:
Nivea moisturizer.
Rimmel Foundation in Ivory (100)
Miss Sporty Contour in light.
Collection Blush in Bashful.

EYES:
Primer - NYC Quad for brown eyes.
On the lid: Bliss shadow from Urban Decay naked 3 palette. I uses one shadow and gentle blended it up to the highlight shade Strange. On the lower lash line and on the lower waterline I used Avon's eyeliner in Ultra Violet.
MASCARA:

I used my favourite mascara at the moment. Essence Get Big Lashes.
LIPS:

I used Avon's lip pencil in Pink Bouquets

Where it all began

Good morning everyone, it's Monday again. Saturday I had a great idea to start a new section on my blog, as you all know I am a mum on one three year old boy named Rhys. I thought that I would share my life as a mum. If I have tips and tricks to share with you I will do that too. I would like to start by saying that this section on of my blog isn't fact and what I write is only based on my experiences. I know I write about Rhys in my Daily Life post but this section will be all mummy related posts. To begin I am going to share with you how Rhys came into to beautiful world.

On the third of September 2011 at eight minutes to eight Rhys was born, weighing at six pounds and twelve ounces. When I heard what his weight was, I was delighted, because while I was pregnant the doctors in the maternity never stopped saying to me that the baby was under weight. At one stage  one doctor said to me that if he didn't start growing and putting on some more weight that they would give me steroids to bring him on. Within a month Rhys had gained weight in my belly and the doctors were happy enough with that. He was eleven days over due and I personally think that it helped. Around 11.45 I was induced and in an hour my waters broke. I was in slow enough labour from there on. By the time morning came I was in full swing of labour the pains very unreal. That night I was taken up to the delivery room where I received my epidural. For those of you who may be thinking of getting one, I would rather not. The doctors will tell you that you are at risk of back problems after it, there is a chance that you could be left paralysed. What the doctors don't tend to tell you is that the baby is also sedated.

I had to find that our for myself when Rhys was born and with in hours he didn't want to drink milk, he wasn't keeping him body temperature. That was all down to the epidural. Rhys was taken down o the ICU for almost five days. It was such a bad feeling, I had to leave my baby under nurses that are under staffed to look after my baby. Rhys was a hungry baby he needed to be fed every three hours, so the nurses held him out for an extra hour and he was crying for that, which I didn't know. To add to all of this one of the nurses gave him a dummy. Which are bad for his teeth and it was them that had advised me not to be given the baby dummies. I know I am just ranting now.

After being in the ICU for five days Rhys was left home. It was such a happy day for me. I was delighted to hold my baby boy in my arms. I moved into my boyfriends house (Jeff) and him mum. She was a great help she told me what to look out for and all of that. At times though I felt that she was doing more harm then helping me, like when he was teething and his temperature would go up, Jeff's mum kept on saying what could happen with a high temperature. I was more always on my toes. Being a first time mum is hard and you never know what is around the corner. I love being a mum its such a rewarding job as some people may say. I don't see motherhood as a job though. It a way of life. I think I am going to finish here for today. I am not to sure yet when I am going to be posting on this topic, I am hoping that if I do it once a week that it will be a start.

I hope you all enjoy this post and let me know about your experiences of child birth.

Daily Life: Chickenpox

Hello there. I had plans to blog a few days ago, but my plans were put back due to Rhys getting the chickenpox Easter Sunday evening. I thought he got bit by small flies as he had been out in the sun playing easter egg hunt in the garden. By the following morning he was covered in spots. A few of them very blistered and I wasn't too sure if it was the chickenpox or not, because I couldn't remember what the chickenpox look like. I got an appointment with the doctor just in case it was something else. He told me that it was the chickenpox and gave me some lotion to cool down Rhys' skin and some antihistamine. I also kept giving him so Calpol and it has helped so much. He didn't itch as much as I thought he would. It was a nightmare to put on the lotion on him. Rhys doesn't like things to be rubed on to his skin.

Jeff had bought some Easter egg hunt treats for us all to do an Easter egg hunt at home, but even that didn't go to plan. In the morning I hard boiled some eggs and had plans to paint them with Rhys and everyone in the house. It turned out to be just me and Rhys. The paint was broken so we used some markers to colour the eggs. Rhys enjoyed it and I think that was all that mattered. I hid the eggs around the front garden and Rhys had to find them. He was so excited that he had to hide them and we had to find the eggs. This carried on untul Monday.

A few of us went out Sunday night for some karaoke. It was a good night, lots of dancing and having fun. Since then the weather has been fantastic ,Rhys and I are really enjoying it. We went to feed the swans down by the river Shannon, Rhys was trowing in the bread into the swans and shouts to them "It's ye lucky day swans" I had to laugh at him. There were other people feeding them but because it was him the swans should feel lucky. I love the way he comes out with funny things like that.

What did you get up to during the Easter holidays? I hope you had a safe and fun Easter.

Nails Of The Day: MUA Apricot Candy

Good morning everyone. Its nearly April how fast is this year going? It only seems like yesterday was January. Since its spring I purchased some spring shade nail polish.

This particular polish is by MUA and the shade is called Apricot Candy. Its a peatchy shade, once I seen it I had to have it. I never has this shade of polish before.

This is a square 6.2ml bottle. The consistency is a little watery for me and applies some what streaky. Two coats would get it opaque with minor streaking. Three coats would be best for those of you who would like a very opaque coat.

I don't particularly mind having small amount of streaks as long as its not too visible. I am not a fussy person. All of MUA's nail polish is under €2. For that price I think that it is a good polish and I would totally buy the rest of the line. I like the packaging, the bottle is small and it would be very easy to travel with. Overall I like it and I would buy more.

Have you tries any of MUA's products or their nail polishes. Let me know what you though of them. I would love to hear from you in the coments below.

Thank you for stopping by.

Daily Life: Update on my Life

Hello there. It has been a good while since I have blogged, I think it was just before Christmas that I wrote my last post. I am sorry guys that I haven't been blogging. Life has just taken over again. I know I always say the same thing but it is true. So since last December this is what I have been up to.

First off I have been looking for a job and still unemployed. It is so frustrating to look for a job. I'll still keep a look out for one. I don't know if I had told you about a blog type of website that I was on. I forget the name of it now, but for every article you  would write, you would get paid. It became very sketchy by the time I left it. They weren't paying as muchas they were suppost to when I singed up. Then all these rules came in, so to make this awful long story short, I wrote over one hundred articles and made my €50 worth, naturally I redeemed. I knew I would have to wait for at least two to three months to get paied though paypal. To this day I still didn't get paid. I think it was a total scam. To be honest I didn't fret to much about it, because at the end of the day I didn't loose out on anything, I didn't have to pay to sing up all that was wasted was my time.

For the past few weeks I have started knitting. I bought myself a pair of needles and some cheap wool. The reason for the cheap wool was so that I would see if I liked it or not, or how good I would be. I really love it, its so relaxing. At the moment I am learning how to make a guage swatch and how to make a childs jumper from my measurements. I have been researching on YouTube how to  knit a jumper. I enjoy making my own items like clothes, that is why in school I loved woodwork and metalwork. I was the only girl in metalwork for two years. It was fun. I gave it up because the last two years really focused on more of the mechanical side of things. I didn't really want to be a machanic.

Some news on my Rhys. He is getting very big everyday, and talks like he is six and not three. He doesn't like to be called a baby, and has an opionion on evrything. We are nearly there with potty training. He is drinking less during the night and I am hoping in a other few weeks there will be no nappies. I am looking forward to that day.

In other news Jeff and I are looking for a house to move it it. We need our own space at this stage, Rhys needs his own room. Rhys has so many toys at the moment that there is no room to put them all. I have to do some sort of car boot sale to get rid of some of them. Well I think that is some news that I can think of for you all. I hopw you enjoyed this post and I have more coming in the next few days. It has all been planed out.

Thank you again for stopping by it means the world to me.
