Nails of the Day: BarryM and SoSu

Hi guys, how are ye all doing today. I know I didn't post last Sunday but when I realized that it was Sunday it was so late that I couldn't be bothered to take out the laptop. So today for a quick post here is the nails that I had this week. I have to say that absolutely loved it. The SoSu nail polish in Unicorn Dust made it last so much. Four days until any nail chipped.

The BarryM shade is called Blueberry.
it goes on very opaque with two coats.

The SoSu nail polish is called Unicorn Dust.
I applied just the one coat so that the lilac would come true very nicely.

This is my opinion is an elegant nail. I got a lot of complements.

What do think?

Daily Life:The plan to make this year the best one yet.

Hi everyone. So it has been a while as always. I think you all know me by now. While I have been away I am been enjoying life. This is what I have been up to in the last few weeks.

I have been enjoying working! I have made some silly mistakes and I have been learning from them. For example taken cake orders and doing them correctly, I know this might sound silly but there is a lot of things one has to ensure that everything is done right so that the customer is happy with the result. I have been so scared of taken cake orders just because I have never done them, then it was hard to give the customer advice on what type of cake they would like (if they didn't already know what they wanted), while I didn't know what the cakes were. By that I mean what type of sponge that could be used, filling and icing that would go nicely with the sponge. Now don't get to wrong I know how to make a cake but I didn't know how this company makes cakes and so on. Anyway six months down the line and I think that I am getting there, and by getting there I mean if a customer comes and to order a simple cake I have no problem taking the order. I have to say that I have gained a lot of experience so much in the last few months. Working in a coffee shop is not just serving customers and making coffee. Its so much more then that. I can say that I am so lucky that I got this opportunity to work with them. I am looking forward to many more months to work with these great people.

In a more personal note my sister comes in to the city to see me over the weekends. I can't be more happier to see her. She still lives at home and she is working all week, its great that we can get some few hours together to have a little giggle and Rhys loves his aunt.

In the last few days I have been thinking that I should start my own business. I have always wanted my own business or even to run a business of some sort. I love to be a BOSS. These are the things that I love doing and making.

  • Knitting
  • Baking and cooking
  • Cosmetics
With this thought in mind I was looking up how to make your own eye shadow at home. To start of and of course to practice with. I am not a chemist and I really don't know much or anything about chemistry. So this is going to be the way I have to go about it. I spend a good evening last night looking up on YouTube and online how to go about making your own cosmetics. All the supplies are quite cheap if you know where to buy them. So I am going to do some more research on that and I will keep you all up to date. I also have to think of a name and logo. But I think for the time being I will just stick to practising on how to make the eye shadows and other cosmetics like nail polish. These are my ideas that I would love to make them come true.

Thanks guys for spending the time to read my posts. Let me know if you have every trying making your own cosmetics and how it all went down for you, I wold love to know. If you have any advice for me also don't be shy and let me know.  Until the next time.
